Chase the northern lights in Alta, Finnmark, the Sami District of Norway with GuideGunnar's guide partner and Alta local Frantz Jakob. In your chase for the magical Aurora Borealis we will bring you to where the best weather conditions are for the absolute best possibility to experience what you have come here for; to see the dance of Aurora in the nightern skies. Please note this chase takes place in Alta, 300 km north east of Tromsø.

Please take the shuttle bus to the city centre of Alta.
Be at Scandic hotel 10 mins before the tour start. If cold outside, please wait in the lobby!
For the return, the guide will drive you back to the ship.
Duration 5 - 7 hours.
Number of guests 1 - 16.
Age limit: Only 12 - 75 years!
Families with babies and kids under 12 years old are only allowed on GuideGunnar`s Private Aurora Chase in Tromsø!

GuideGunnar’s NEW guide Frantz Jakob
Aurora Chase Alta is based on GuideGunnar's tour principles and run by GuideGunnar’s guide partner Frantz Jakob. Frantz Jakob partnered with GuideGunnar in 2017 for his first season medio February 2018 to chase the northern lights. Frantz Jakob is born and raised in Alta and knows this place and the Northern Norway winters very well.

Bathrooms
While Aurora Chase Tromsø is a wilderness tour with bathroom facilities that of nature's own, there might be bathroom facilities en route on the Aurora Chase. Please don't hesitate to ask. Need to go before we go? CampAlta has rest room facilities.
