After 30 years in the travel business, I would like to have a happy ending to my career that will provide me with a good income.

Since I cannot keep driving crazy hours like I did during 20 seasons as an Aurora guide, I have decided to rekindle my old dream of opening my Camp Aurora. There, I will still act as a guide for my guests, but I will mostly be their chef and their host.

I would like to fund my dream-come-true project: My dream is to realize my own Camp Aurora here at Bjørnskar on Ringvassøya, which is 40 km (25 miles) north of the airport in Tromsø. The zoning plan is ready, so if you have money to invest, we can start building right away!

Here is the story how the dream about a camp came to life:

During the summer in 1994 and 1995, I lived for several months in my father's home in Porsanger, Finnmark, where I dismantled the main house by hand, saved our barn from collapsing, and began restoring the old boathouse.

After attending a 2-year mountain guide school in northern Sweden from 1996 to 1998, I planned on returning to Finnmark to establish a camp. When I lived up there, I had discovered that there were lots of bicyclists who rode past the property on their way to North Cape, and I wanted to provide a place for them to stay.

However, I was headhunted and moved to Tromsø in 2003, which is why I did not pursue those plans. In 2006 I played an important role in launching Northern Lights tourism in Tromsø and Northern Norway.

After spending several years in Kattfjord, Kvaløya, and Tromsø, I thought about making my old dream come to life again. I purchased a house with a lot of land here on Ringvassøya, where I planned to realize my own camp for Northern Lights tourism. However, my dream was too expensive at the time. Since I did not have enough funds then, I put the plan on hold again, but only for a short time.

Now, after working as a guide, driver, and chef for 30 years, I want to transform my work in the travel industry and become a host. That is why I want to give my camp another go, and I now realize that I need to have an investor to make this dream a reality.

Here are my thoughts, my dreams, and some possibilities:

• Building a service house (see images) with a lounge, WCs, a professional kitchen, and a garage.
• Building two high-quality apartments that can be rented out on top of the service house.
• Building an outdoor kitchen for my culinary experiences.
• Building two fancy glass domes with a full bathroom to extend the offers for overnight stays.
• Building an office and relaxing lounge in the boathouse by the sea.
