December 15th

We went first out to the coast since the conditions looks good, but suddenly a snow front from east was on the way, and since it showed on the satelite weather forecast it should be clear behind we decided to drive as fast we could further east for reach it soon as possible.
We missed tonight best show while we drove through the snowy weather, and got just a little of the last show for the night...
December 17th

One of these nights... I have to trust my got feelings more and don´t get leaded to wrong locations...
We should stayed on the coast as I first was thinking, but headed east instead... we found party clear sky, but 20 mins before Aurora shows up, then the clouds came in... pity...
December 18th

- Aurora show: All over, far south, curtains, spikes and little dancing.

- Wildlife: One moose.
Everthing was settle to a perfect night for Aurora tonight; The solar storm speed was over 500 km/s, the weather forecast looks perfect and the activtiy started already at 1 pm (!)... and then it begin to snow heavy...
So, we headed towards Finland as planned, but stopped some places when the activity get better and when we had some holes on the clouds for not missing out any of the best... and at the end we arrived the final destination where the weather was clear again, but then the greatest show was over... the best show tonight was between 5 - 8.30 pm...
December 19th

- Aurora show: Several band on the north sky, then all over, curtains, spikes, little dancing and 2 colors visible (3 on camera).

- Tour hrs: 8.
She was slow in the beginning of the night, but quite bright for a while. Then we continue to the next fjord with the lovely Lyngen Alps in front as a great setting (much better if the moon has lit then up).
We got a couple of nice show during this cold evening at the fjord, but the best show we got at 1.30 am on our way back to the city, when we stopped in a valley after all another guides has left the area and I could give my guests what I sell; silence...
December 20th

Decided to leave the crowd and drove even further for escape from the nearest areas of Tromsø which also had clear sky and headed to our "Toblerone" mountain 100 km east of the city. Had a lovely cold night in the silence by the river with a great show..;)
