January 25th

Northern Lights from Bergsbotn viewing platform, Senja Highlights

Aurora activity: 10/10.
Aurora show: All over, far south, curls, spikes, curtains, Pink Rock`n`Roll dancing and a lovely corona.

What a night!! 12 hours with Northern Lights on the sky... from 5 pm to 5 am..;)
After been tired of taking Aurora pics from my beach and doorsteps I decided to drive to the magic island of Senja since it was forecasted a great show, and we got what we went for...
Totally we stopped at six different locations and got the best show at two of the highlights of Senja; first at Bergsbotn viewing platform 10 pm, and then at Senjahopen 1 am, across the fjord for the famous mountains Segla and Hesten.

January 11th

Weather Home: Part clear.
Destination / weather: GuideGunnar`s Camp Aurora / part clear.
Aurora activity: 8/10.
Aurora show: All over and far far south, curtains, curls, dancing and a couple of half coronas. 3 colors on camera, and visible for the naked eyes.
Tour km: 0.
Tour hrs: 5.

I went out at 4.30 pm with the garbage and saw the south sky was filled with Aurora, so it was only one thing to do; Dress me up warm and grab my camera... at the same time I warned my friends in the south and also the Aurora UK FB page, with this message; "GO OUT and watch the north sky!"

I was out only from 5 to 10 pm and felt I had got enough pictures (over 300) of the Northern lights on the south sky which was my goal this night... later and after midnight probably the best show was coming with great Coronas too, and it was probably a 10/10 Aurora show. The activity begun already at 2.30 pm and didn`t ended before 4 am in the morning...

It`s pity that I didn`t have guests with me when The Lady begins to dance crazy like this, with a bright pink dancing all over...

Aurora show: All over, far south, curls, spikes, pink & green dancing curtains, 2 colors eye visible.

An lovely start of a new year... hopefully better than the last one which we like to forget... we was back in the game as it started for over 15 years ago with just a few guests and lovely silence out on the spot and along the roads with only a few buses who did the chase..
