This is the reason why I never canceling a chase cause a bad weather forecast... since you never knew what the clouds will do...
And the weather forecast this week for this Thursday evening was not funny reading, but then it shows an opening, so I went there with my guests from France, Germany and UK, and got surprised that it was so wrong..????
On the way out from the city we needed to take an unplanned stop, since we suddenly had clear and Aurora on the sky... and then we continued to the planned stop short distance before the finnish border...
At midnight the bad weather with clouds, rain and snow was back, so we returned to the city with four happy guests, who didn`t beleive they should get an Aurora experienced tonight...

What a beautiful Full Moon Aurora show we got tonight!
But, it got little tricky when the clouds suddenly arrived in from NW on the beautiful clear sky we had, so this went into a real Aurora Chase, where we had to escape from the tick cloud belt...
At the same time it was building up good activity on the south sky, so we had to stop several times (5) for not miss anything...
At the end, the clouds passed us too fast, so I decided to stop... relax... and hope for the best... and then; the sky cleared up, just in time for the evening best show..

Not the most sexiest location for tonight chase, but this was the place where we found clear sky 220 km south of Tromsø... in a valley by the power station, 17 km north of Narvik city.
After a great autumn and four month of chasing it ended the year with a quiet sky... no Aurora activty when we finally found clear sky, and on the return we had clear sky the last 120 km to the city... but, noting.
Tonight`s best show was probably between 8-9 pm, but then all guides was inside the cloudy and snowy weather...
