Corona, corona, corona, corona, corona... I lost the counting, and I am not talking about the most used word in the world the last 1,5 year... but Aurora Corona... when Lady Aurora entertains as her best.

It was quite cloudy when we left the city, but the weather forecast said better later on the coast of Tromsø, so we went to the mountains of Kattfjordeidet for observe what happen with the clouds, and we had some faint bands of the Northern lights from the time we arrived... but, a forecasted solarstorm was on the way, so we contiuned to fjords area of Kvaløya, and the night ended with a crazy beautiful Aurora show...

November 14th

A new tricky night this autumn with overcast all over with forecasted snow later, so I wanted to move all guests to the next night, but after a discussing they all wanted to give it a try... so, I promised them that if we ddn`t saw anything they should get 50% discount the next night.

But, after 80 km drive south of the city, the moon got clear and I could see a couple of stars, so I went up in a valley for a check, and the sky got suddenly better and better, and then Lady Aurora show up for us... and then the clouds came back.. so we contiuned further east for make a campfire in the forest for shelter from the strong wind, and had a nice talk with snacks and hot drink before we went back to Tromsø...

So, the conclusion is; It´s no need to cancel a chase cause bad weather... in Tromsø...

Northern lights over the beach and the village

November 19th

Guests around the campfire with northern lights on the sky

Tonight`s choice was to stay on the coast in plus degrees, but early cloudy sky, or drive far into the cold with minus 20. I choose the last for giving my guests an nice cold snowy winter experience. Down in the valley it was freezing cold, so I choose to stop on the hill with only 12 degrees minus, so my guests last longer out in the cold.

It was`nt so much Aurora activity, but it was pity we didn`t stayed an hour longer, since then the great Aurora show begins...

November 27th - Private Aurora Chase

It was lovely to be at this beautiful location by our self without any another guides and visitors... Lady Aurora was already on the sky when we arrived and she gave us a beautiful show... when we left at midningt it was quiet, but I was ready as usual to stop if she showed up again... which she did just 5 minutes later, so with a new great mountain scenery we could enjoy an fabolous beautiful show all over and far far on the the south sky, where she also gave us an Aurora Cororna...

An new tricky night with overcast all over... or maybe it was a chance little further east, so we went there... and again, the weather forecast was wrong, so the sky was more clear than forecasted... so, that´s the reason why I am not canceling a tour when the weather are bad in Tromsø...
