It was again a tricky weather night where the forecast said cloudy and windy all over, but at the first stop it was no wind and quite clear sky... but, it`s pity, we arrived just too late for see the great Aurora show which happened in the mintues we was driving out from the city along the lighted roads...
So, we continue our drive further east where the best weather forecast was, but found a new location with clear sky and saw little of Aurora... and when we finally arrived our final destination, it was partly clear, but got cloudy just before the last show around 1 am started...
But, I am never give up so easy, so when I saw a glimpse of Aurora through the clouds, I sent my guests out of the bus in the freezing cold wind, and suddenly the clouds breaks up in the same tempo as the Lady Aurora increased her performance...
So, very cold but happy guests, which was very glad that I never gave up... yeah, that`s my job as a Aurora Guide..;)

A new weather tricky night ... the weather forecast was`nt great, but still it´s no reason to cancel the chase since we know how the local weather conditions can be ...
So with a couple of night sky cameras and a good cooperation within colleagues we found the clear spots for the night ...
I headed first east, and then returned back out on the coast to west ... and with a haze (thin high clouds) my guests got an nice view to Lady Aurora`s performance

It was lovely to be only my guests and me at this beautiful location NW of Tromsø ... totally silence ... which is what I sell, and are working hard for let my guests experience this every night out ...
It was an new night with beautiful clear sky and a early Aurora show, so when the clouds arrived around 10.30 pm I decided to leave at 11 ... but, I did`nt really gave up the night, since it was still a faint Aurora band on the south sky ... and 90% of the time that happens it`s normally give us so,ething better ...
So, after driving only 10 mins I had to stop again, since Lady Aurora begin her really good performance when the south band begin to move ... and at the south part of the mountains the sky was clear again ...
And tonight we had a special lovely event out on the tour, when my Mexican guests got engaged ;)

It was freezing cold temperatures with wind at some parts, but when we arrived Sommarøy, it was quiet and only 6 degrees minus. For the 2nd night in row i was surprised that we was alone where we stayed for the night ... and that`s middle of the best part of the Aurora season ...
It was Aurora activity all over the sky, but not any very bright, so at 11 pm I decided to return to the city, but the long way around the south part of Kvaløya island, since it still was a faint band on the south sky ... and then 10 mins on drive it suddenly exploted, but it`s pity there was no safe places to stop ... so, my guests missed the best part with little pink dancing, but we get it rest ... it last for only 5 mins ...
So, we contiune the drive for looking after moose ... and that we got two times ;)

Not the best end of the tour since I got technical probs with the minibus ... so after a lovely moment at the Finnish border, I needed to send my guests back to the city with good help by several Aurora Guides, which I am very grateful for, cause theirs herotic and great coordination help.
I was back in Tromsø with the bus at 3.25 am with great help from the local tow truck ... and with good service at the workshop, I will be back on the road tomorrow night ... but, tonight`s guests have to join one of my good colleagues, since I need to sleep more, after only two hours in the bus ...
Since we´re driving a lot each season, up to 50.000 km for finding clear sky for our guests, this is something who happens sometimes ... and the only thing I can do is try to make it best of it for my guests..;)
