I thought first it could be okey on the coast, but incoming clouds came too fast, so we headed east away from the massive clouds system ...
We got to see little between the clouds on our way, and it`s pity I didn`t found a safe enough spot to stop, when the first show arrived ... but, I also know it`s normally it takes too long time to get all my guests out of the bus ...
So, we continued and I was thinking about Finland, but 4 km before the border they sky was 70% clear, and the activity was amazing with many colors, at least on camera, and for a moment we got to even see Red Aurora for the naked eyes.
The clouds came back, and I was thinking about to leave, but suddenly the sky got clear again ... so, I set camp fire and served my guests with hot drinks and sweet snacks.
Before we left it came in more clouds and even rain ...
September 24th

  - Guests / Country: 4 guests from Singapore, Taiwan and USA.

 - Tour km: 390.
 - Tour hrs: 8,5.

The first plan was to drive far inside the finnish border, but after 30 km we had a good enough sky, but of course, after set camp fire and serve my guests, the clouds came back ...
So, I decided to drive further into Finnish Lapland and when we only cam 10 km away, we just had to stop since the activity suddenly started, so we just had to jump out of the bus.
While standing under the partly clear sky, I heard from a colleague who was +30 km further in and they had 90% clear sky ... so, I should follow my first plan, and not stop, but just go directly to the first planned location ... but, it`s always a gambling chasing the lights ... or finding the right spot with the best clear sky ...

I could do it short and easy tonight by staying on the coast, but I just needed to drive little for getting in the right feeling for a chase ... so, we went towards east and little inside the Finnish border ...
And it was good timing when we got a very good show on the eastern sky in the same moment we step outside the bus.
Then it was covered the whole sky with little dancing low on the north and west.

We left the city in heavy rain, but after a few km it stopped and gave us an beautiful a very strong rainbow, so I had to make a stop so my guests and I got some pictures ...
Then we had several choices to where to drive on the coast, but since most of the guides went north towards my island, Ringvassøya, I choosed an other way to the most beautiful area we have around Tromsø; Grøtfjord.
Since I was starting quite early re; still a couple of hours of daylight, I showed my guests different fjords areas and told them stories along the route and where we stopped for taking pictures.
Then we headed towards Grøtfjord and hope for the best re; the clouds which covered 50% of the sky, but after an hour it got better and better, and then finally 100% clear, just before Lady Aurora begins her performance ...
